Privacy notice
Short and plain: what we store, why, and how to get rid of it.
Alpha invitation requests
When you request an invite we store your name or nickname, email address, and the optional details you give (Discord name, region, preferred mode, PD2 experience, message), plus the time of the request. We use them only to pick alpha testers and to contact you about your invitation. A copy of each request is emailed to the Project Lage team through our mail provider, Resend.
We keep a request until the alpha is over or until you ask us to delete it. We never sell or share it, and we don't send newsletters.
Ladder accounts
A ladder account stores your username, a salted hash of your password, and your ladder character files with the last 20 versions of each. Character names, classes, levels and your username appear on the public leaderboard.
Donations
Donations go through PayPal. PayPal shares your name, email address and the amount with us so we can see who supported the project; we use that only for our records and never for marketing. PayPal's own privacy notice covers what PayPal does.
Server logs and cookies
The web server keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security. To stop spam, the sign-up form counts recent requests per connection using a one-way hash that is kept in memory only. This site sets no cookies and uses no trackers or analytics.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Write to lagencie1@gmail.com from the address you signed up with.
